Worked planning example · reviewed October 6, 2026
One fictional 60-room hotel, six rooms per day and one blackout. Count the available days before assigning the rooms.
Prepared for the Hotel Cleaning Schedule public demo. These are illustrative assumptions, not a customer result, brand standard or universal cleaning cadence. Custom plans and credit purchases are not available.
01 · State the assumptions
This is periodic deep-clean planning, not daily turnover, staff dispatch or evidence that cleaning was completed.
02 · Check the capacity
Ten weekdays minus one blackout leaves nine eligible days. Sixty required rooms minus 54 slots is a six-room shortfall.
No arrangement can make those six missing slots appear. Reduce the work, increase verified capacity, or extend the window. Here, we extend it by one eligible day: Monday, October 26.
10 eligible days × 6 rooms = 60 slots. This just fits, with no spare capacity. A real operator should leave recovery room for absences, repairs or changed availability.
03 · Assign and inspect
| Date | Rooms | Load / capacity |
|---|---|---|
| Mon, Oct 12 | 101–106 | 6 / 6 |
| Tue, Oct 13 | 107–112 | 6 / 6 |
| Wed, Oct 14 | Blackout: no rooms | 0 / 6 |
| Thu, Oct 15 | 113–118 | 6 / 6 |
| Fri, Oct 16 | 119–124 | 6 / 6 |
| Mon, Oct 19 | 125–130 | 6 / 6 |
| Tue, Oct 20 | 201–206 | 6 / 6 |
| Wed, Oct 21 | 207–212 | 6 / 6 |
| Thu, Oct 22 | 213–218 | 6 / 6 |
| Fri, Oct 23 | 219–224 | 6 / 6 |
| Mon, Oct 26 | 225–230 | 6 / 6 |
04 · Check the coverage
Repeating cleans need additional occurrences, spacing rules and enough eligible capacity. Do not carry this single-campaign arithmetic into a yearly plan without checking those requirements.
